Four paths, by payment method and paperwork

Bank CIPS / bank RMB: documented trade through a bank that can send or receive RMB on CIPS or related clearing. Onboarding. Invoices. Bank timelines. Destination is usually a Chinese bank account the bank can pay. Not a WeChat QR this desk fills.

Forex bureau: typically notes. GHS, USD, sometimes CNY cash at a till. Do not assume a bureau can credit WeChat Pay or Alipay.

Agent: informal P2P. Payment methods, receipts, and timing vary with the person. This desk is not that chat.

When the Accra P2P desk fits

What it is not: a bank. A bureau till. A 1688 plugin. “I Have Made Payment” tells the desk you sent the Cedis. It does not complete the order. Yuan is sent after we confirm.

When it fits: the recipient can take WeChat Pay, Alipay, or NIP, and you can pay the official GHS account on the order. Start on Buy RMB.

Bank CIPS, high level only

CIPS is China’s Cross-Border Interbank Payment System. Ghana banks have publicly discussed RMB clearing and CIPS connectivity for trade. Coverage has included Stanbic in Ghana in that news cycle. That is bank-to-bank infrastructure. Not a MoMo QR fill.

Expect bank onboarding, trade documents, and the bank’s own cut-offs. Expect a Chinese beneficiary account the bank can pay. Stanbic’s forms, fees, and eligibility are the bank’s product.

Our desk pays a wallet QR after you pay cedis by MoMo or bank. A bank CIPS payment needs trade documents and goes to a Chinese bank account. Different jobs. We do not say which is cheaper. If a bank officer asks for invoices, packing lists, or a beneficiary IBAN or CNAPS number, you are on a bank path. Do not paste those into this desk’s QR field. Conversely, do not expect a bank CIPS ticket to credit WeChat Pay because you showed a screenshot.

Forex bureaux

A bureau is built for notes and displayed till rates. Some handle USD, EUR, and occasionally CNY cash. Crediting a WeChat Pay or Alipay wallet is usually not that till’s job. If you need a China QR filled, do not assume the bureau can do it.

Bureaux have their own compliance and cash limits. They set their own prices.

A bureau's rate board does not show our rate. Do not copy a till number into an RMB Market order. Do not assume CNY cash in Accra can be deposited to a China QR by the bureau the same day. Ask that till what they actually sell.

Agents

Informal agents quote in chat. They collect GHS on personal MoMo. They promise WeChat credit. Quality varies. This desk hides the official GHS account until a receiving QR is saved. We only pay the QR on the order after we confirm. A different control model. Not a smear of every agent.

If you use an agent, you are outside this product. RMB Market cannot recover GHS sent to a personal number that is not on your order.

WorldFirst is only an example of a B2B collection job. Stanbic appears only as public CIPS news at a high level. Rival chat prices are not listed. There is no ranking of Ghana or Nigeria shops.

How to choose

Need cash notes in Accra? A bureau or bank cash product. Not a digital QR desk. The desk does not promise cash yuan.

Only have Naira? This desk cannot take the order. Nigeria is GHS-only.

Decide based on how the person in China can receive the money. Not a rumour about “today’s rate”. Desk: QR plus GHS. Bank: documents plus CIPS-style RMB. Bureau: ask if they even sell CNY notes. Agent: personal risk. If two paths both work, we do not say which is cheaper.
