Two codes. One currency. Different books
CNY is the onshore code. Mainland China. Bank tables. Wallet apps. A supplier who says “pay CNY on WeChat” is asking for that money.
CNH is the offshore code. Hong Kong and international FX. A Ghana bank officer, a trade letter, or a Bloomberg screen may quote CNH. That is their book. It is not a WeChat QR this desk fills.
Renminbi is the currency. Yuan is the unit people say. RMB is how many Ghanaians name it. Here the question is offshore versus onshore yuan.
