“How long to buy RMB in Ghana” has two clocks. First the desk must confirm that your Cedis arrived. Then yuan is processed to your QR. Typical time for that second stretch is about 30 minutes. It is not a guarantee.
When the 30-minute target starts
It starts after an administrator confirms GHS — not when you tap I Have Made Payment, and not when MoMo shows a debit. Confirmation is a person matching the official account on the order.
Bank transfers can sit in review longer than MoMo because credits post later. Unreadable proof also delays confirmation. See proof of payment.
What “typical” is not
It is not an SLA, not a refund clock, and not a ranking claim. Offers may show a processing-time hint on the blotter; that is still a desk target. Volume, unclear QR, or a destination that cannot receive the amount can take longer.
The Accra desk is staffed around the clock on the public site. Individual orders still move when GHS is actually matched.
What you can do while you wait
Watch the transaction timeline after you log in. Status goes through review, GHS confirmed, processing RMB, RMB sent, then completed. The bilingual receipt is for sharing with a recipient once those statuses exist — not to force a faster payout.
Do not send a second GHS payment to “hurry” the desk. If the QR is wrong and processing has not started, replace it as described in old receiving QR.
