Traders in Accra and Kumasi often ask how to buy RMB in Ghana with MTN Mobile Money. The desk is a Ghana P2P GHS → CNY book: you pay Cedis on an MTN wallet shown on your order, and Chinese yuan is sent after an administrator confirms that the GHS arrived.
This is not an automatic MoMo-to-WeChat connection. You copy the official number from the transaction page, send the exact amount, then wait for the desk.
What you need before a MoMo buy
Create an RMB Market account with a Ghana phone number. Verify email if you registered with a password. Google and Apple sign-in already count as verified. Email-unverified accounts cannot start a buy.
Open a live offer on Buy RMB. Quote Cedis or yuan. The published GHS per yuan figure is on the live rate page and locks on the order when you buy — this guide does not quote a number.
QR first, then the official MTN number
Save a receiving QR that can accept the RMB amount — WeChat Pay, Alipay, or NIP — before any Ghana wallet appears. That gate is the whole product: the official MTN MoMo account stays hidden until the QR is on the order. Read why QR comes first.
After the QR is saved, copy only the MTN number and account name on that order. Personal WhatsApp numbers are not collection accounts. Paying a different wallet is not recoverable by RMB Market.
Send the exact GHS on MTN
Use MTN Mobile Money to send the locked GHS total. Keep the MoMo SMS. You will upload that screenshot as proof of payment, then tap I Have Made Payment. That button notifies the desk. It does not complete the order.
An administrator confirms the Cedis actually arrived. Only then is RMB processed to your QR. Typical desk time after that confirmation is around 30 minutes — a target, not a promise. See how long a buy takes.

Paying a Chinese supplier from Ghana
If the RMB is for a supplier, school, or factory in China, the destination is still a QR they control. You do not type a Chinese bank account into this desk. Ask the counterparty for a WeChat Pay, Alipay, or NIP code that can receive the amount, save it on the order, then pay MTN.
When the order is far enough along, the English and Chinese receipt is meant for that counterparty — not as a substitute for waiting on desk confirmation.
